Richard is the Engineering Director for Murphy, a Chartered Civil Engineer and Fellow of the ICE with 29 years’ experience in the construction industry as a contractor, consultant, and client. At Murphy he is responsible for all aspects of Engineering including Design, Design Management, Site Engineering, Quality, and Digital Engineering across the Group as well as the Tunnelling capability. He is a co-opted member of the BTS Committee responsible for the Net Zero Tunnelling Group.  His experience encompasses projects such as the Lower Thames Crossing, the Bloor Yonge Station redevelopment in Toronto, London Power Tunnels Phase 2, the North Bristol Relief Sewer, the Lee Tunnel, the Channel Tunnel Rail Link, the Docklands Light Railway Lewisham extension and the Jubilee Line extension amongst many others.
