David’s infrastructure career has focused on road, rail and utility tunnels. Born and trained in London, he subsequently lived and worked in Hong Kong and Australia before moving to New York in 2002 where he became Chief Engineer for the JV design team working on the recently opened Second Avenue Subway. He is currently an Arup Director based in London and is responsible for BAM’s (the D&B contractor’s) Arup-Atkins design team working on Thames Tideway West Contract. He is actively involved with committee roles in the International Tunnelling Association and the Institution of Civil Engineers.
