VINCI Construction Grands Projets
During his 25 years at VINCI Construction Grands Projets, François gained extensive tunnelling and excavation experience on large international civil engineering projects in Switzerland (tunnel Vue-desAlpes, water storage ‘des Valangines’), in China (Xiao-Langdi dam tailrace tunnels), and metro tunnels in Hong-Kong & Hungary. François joined the United Kingdom 18 years ago as Project Director on the Lee Tunnel and then on Tideway East Projects, leading and integrating large multidisciplinary teams, whilst promoting a strong safety culture throughout the workforce. François is firmly committed to the principle that these projects should leave a legacy beneficial to both local businesses and communities. Since becoming Managing Director of VINCI Construction Grands Projets for the British Isles sector in 2018, François has been involved in the management of major engineering structures with key customers, such as Highways England, HS2, Crossrail, Thames Water and Tideway. François is a Charted Engineer, Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and holds a master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the renowned French engineering school, ESTP.
