Borja Trashorras is Project Director for the Grain to Tilbury tunnelling project for National Grid, delivered by the Ferrovial Bemo joint venture. He leads this nationally significant scheme, part of the Great Grid Upgrade, strengthening the UK’s electricity network and supporting cleaner energy. An experienced tunnelling leader, he held senior roles on Tideway, Crossrail and Silvertown. As Project Director for Riverlinx, he led Silvertown’s delivery. He collaborates with stakeholders and communities to deliver outcomes across frameworks. He oversaw major milestones, including Europe’s largest vertical shaft sinking machine and one of the UK’s largest TBMs. He drives safety and programme excellence.
