Brian has gained over thirty two years experience in the construction industry since graduating from Trinity College Dublin in 1991 with a degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
His first twenty four years was spent on civil engineering contracting infrastructure project delivery and laterally, for the past eight years, has have undertaken a client capital investment role with Scottish Water.
With this extended client brief Brian has been involved in the delivery of tunnelling projects from planning, optioneering, procurement of geotechnical design, risk management and commercial assessment of high-risk activities leading to options development and procurement of specialist subcontractors. Tunnelling expertise centres mostly on microtunnelling and pipe-jacking including construction of deep segmental shafts, use of various slurry and open face TBMs and timber headings.
Experience also extends to management of external stakeholder permissions including Network Rail and Transport Scotland and team building with multi-disciplinary and inclusive team development
