David is a Geotechnical Subject Matter Expert working for BP and has over 25 years’ experience working in the geotechnical industry. David graduated from Imperial College with a MSc in Engineering Geology and subsequently moved to Hong Kong before returning to the UK in 2004 to join Atkins. During this time David was involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from underground LNG storage cavern investigations in China, to Design Manager for London 2012 Olympic Park Geotechnical site investigations, to geotechnical site engineer for pipeline geohazard mitigation measures in Georgia that included trenchless crossings of landslides. In 2012 David joined BPs geotechnical team, where he is currently involved in onshore energy projects, providing geotechnical and geohazard management and technical assurance. During David’s time in bp he has been involved in a variety of trenchless crossing projects in Georgia, Albania, Russia, West Africa and UK.
