Martyn has twenty-nine years’ experience in the design, design management and construction supervision of tunnels and underground spaces in the UK. He has experience in all forms of construction and project phases having worked on many major underground projects including Jubilee Line Extension, Channel Tunnel Rail Link, Edinburgh Airport Rail Link, DLR extension to Woolwich, Silvertown Tunnel, Northern Line Extension to Battersea, Tottenham Court Road Station and A303 Stonehenge. A Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers, Martyn is the Head of Tunnel Engineering at HS2 where he has responsibility for client assurance, requirements realisation and standards compliance for all the underground bored and mined tunnelling works.
