Andy Sloan is Managing Director of consulting firm COWI UK, is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, a Fellow of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Visiting Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Strathclyde University. He has over 35 years' experience working on tunnelling and cavern projects for mass transit, power, water, mining, rail and highway. Some of the projects he is currently involved in include HS2, Silvertown Tunnels, Coire Glas and Cruachan 2 pump storage schemes.
