In her role at Dunelm Geotechnical & Environmental, Katherine is responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of the company's projects, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance with industry regulations. Her leadership involves managing a team of geotechnical engineers, coordinating project activities, and liaising with clients to deliver tailored solutions for complex geotechnical challenges.
Katherine is the Geotechnical Director for Dunelm Geotechnical and Environmental. She has over 13 years of experience in geotechnical investigations, and she is a certified Chartered Geologist and Registered Ground Engineering Professional. Katherine is responsible for providing technical support across all Dunelm's offices, and is committed to supporting industry best practice through involvement with the Association of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Specialists. Katherine leads a team of project managers and site engineers, and responsibilities include liaising with other divisions within the business, staff and office management, business development, client liaison, resource programming and technical delivery of projects.
Katherine has extensive experience with geotechnical studies, foundation design, slope stability analysis, and rock mass stability assessments and has been involved in numerous complex projects including slope stability assessments and mining assessment and pile design for over opencast coal mines.
Katherine was awarded the Cooling Prize in 2014 for her paper entitled ‘Lindisfarne Castle, A Rock Mass Stability Assessment’, which was published in the Ground Engineering Magazine in June 2014.
